Online Learning Expectations

Online Learning Expectations

  1. TYPING IN ALL CAPS IS INAPPROPRIATE and should not be done unless the person or the assignment instructs you to perform this task.
  2. Jokes, profanity, vulgarity, and inappropriate language of any kind, in the online Google classrooms for McIntyre Comprehensive School students must be avoided. A joke to you could come across as rude/threat to others.  Be polite and direct in the way you communicate to avoid these issues. Your comments are being monitored.
  3. The class discussion forum and email threads aren’t instant messengers to be used to communicate with your friends. They are learning tools and must be treated as such.  Remember, Cyberbullying violates the MPS Code of Student Behavior and is a crime.
  4. When and if you are stuck on an assignment ask questions-do not quit! Before you ask, take time to try and figure it out on your own. If your questions still remain unanswered after trying- contact your teacher via email.
  5. Think before you type and rethink before you submit, share, or send.
  6. Remember what you share in an online classroom is part of Montgomery County Public Schools permanent digital record. Nothing is private.   Remember, Cyberbullying violates the MPS Code of Student Behavior and is a crime.
  7. Complete all assignments in a timely manner, we are here to help you and we can’t help if you don’t ask.
  8. Email your teachers for help.  Use your MPS email to contact teachers.
  9. Remember an online classroom is still a classroom.
  10. At McIntyre Comprehensive Academy we are: Respectful, Resourceful, and Responsible.
